Django.Pub: Data Science, MLOps & AI Agents in the Django World

The Django.Pub community invites Python and Django developers to a hands-on technical meetup dedicated to integrating Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and MLOps into modern Django web applications.

We will explore how to go beyond traditional CRUD workflows and turn your Django project into a robust, high-performance backend for intelligent data systems:

- How to efficiently bridge Django ORM with Pandas and Polars for fast, in-memory analytics without memory leaks;

- How to orchestrate asynchronous background inference for heavy models (PyTorch, ONNX) using Celery and Redis, keeping web worker processes (Gunicorn/Uvicorn) lightning fast;

- How to store and query vector embeddings directly inside your existing PostgreSQL database using pgvector, without needing third-party vector databases;

- How to stream real-time LLM responses and implement interactive AI agent behaviors using Django Channels and WebSockets.

Due to the ongoing security situation, the event is hosted in a hybrid format with an obligatory high-quality livestream. Every registered attendee will receive access to the live broadcast and can engage in Q&A sessions remotely from any safe location.

The agenda also features student project showcases, technical discussion panels, and an interactive live workshop with local setup of a Django-powered RAG assistant! For prospective speakers, the Call for Speakers is officially open, with the ability to upload presentation slides and talk proposals directly for review.
